Ah, back to journal titles that probably make no sense to anyone but me.

I'm quite simply writing a new journal entry because I hardly ever visit my front page, and just realized it's been MORE than a year since I last posted something here.  Even though I don't really have art to show, it might be a nice idea to show that I do in fact still wander in to dA on a regular basis.  Though you sure wouldn't know that if you had stumbled across this page with July of 2010 as the most recent entry. XD

I don't think I can really sum up a year of random happenings, so I'll keep this short.

Just wanted to touch base.
Take care all!

Well it's been forever since I wrote a journal here... Nov 26 apparently; jeebus.
And really the only reason I am is because Nash made a new stamp which I wanted to include, but it seems that since I don't have a paid account any more, it's a no go.
I am in the middle of moving so that's keeping me busy!
That means still no new art, alas.  I should probably make a list here of things I've been meaning to draw.  On the extra good news front, not only am I living with my partner now, but a lot of friends live in the building too, including the one with whom I made Frederik the dragon.  So hopefully he'll help me get off my butt and do more creative stuff too.

Hope everyone is doing well out here in dA land.

Holy crow on a phone line, I didn't realize that my last journal entry was in MAY.  Whoops.

Um, overall dA has been pretty damn neglected by me.  I do make sure to check in pretty well everyday to read and respond to any comments, and to view my watched artist's new work.  But I'm impossibly far behind on the upkeep I used to do; visiting the galleries of anyone who favourites or watches my work, for instance.  So, I apologize for that.  I do appreciate any time someone leaves a comment, or clicks the fav button.  And I used to say so directly.  But I don't think that's possible at this point.

I NEED to make an effort to get back into drawing, or just making stuff in general.  I've done nothing creative for so long now, and it's taking it's toll.  Mostly because I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not seeming to care either way.

I have excuses, decent ones at that, but so what.  I know plenty of other folks that manage to do a lot more with their time despite having more on their plates.
I also have some really lame excuses that I won't bother dignifying.
I'm not going to talk about my personal life online... or really at all, apparently.

But anywho, I hope everyone else is doing well.
Thank you again to anyone who has commented or watched my gallery, and I'm sorry I've been unable to reciprocate.
Hopefully I can get myself back on track to making something art-wise, sooner rather than later.

Time for a new entry here.
Just because I'm tired of staring at my last one.

Working on another pet portrait; hoping to have that done very soon.  Other than that, I don't have anything going on art wise.  I'm not one of those people who can take emotion and turn it into artwork.  I'm the kind of person who finds her creativity completely bolloxed when I'm depressed.  So alas, not likely to be any regular updates.

I do however have one long term project coming up.  But I don't expect it will even be started any time soon, and whenever I do get around to it, it could be a very long time in the making.  But I'll just say that I recently acquired a lot of saddle skirt grade leather.  And will be making something neat with it.  Hopefully.

Take care, all.

Figured I might want to get rid of the really old and no longer relevant journal and put up something more recent.

Still a pathetic lack of new art in my gallery for the most part.
I honestly haven't been drawing or otherwise creating much for a long time now.
Still hoping to change that.

Sorry to all those who watch and are hoping to see new work from me.
I'll try harder.
Fail better.

(any Samuel Beckett fans out there?)

Time for the obligatory holiday message!

Happy Yule, Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever other way you celebrate at this time of year. :3  Even if it involves a Flying Spaghetti Monster.  Or maybe especially then.

I'm off to visit family in Saskatchewan.
I'll be back at the end of the month.

Well, it's been much longer than usual since I wrote one of these journal thingies.  And I usually only do one a month at best to begin with, so that's saying something.

Art will still be slow to appear.  However, the big out of nowhere project of Frederik the dragon means that there are lots of fun photos of his building process in my scraps.  Go take a look if you are intrigued by low budget sculpture.  Or dragons.  He is a collaboration with a good friend of mine, but is also the first art project I've done in a long time.  To say I've been in an art block is a bit of an understatement.
I've lost a lot of confidence in my art, which is no fun at all.  I've also been trying to deal with some personal issues... since, oh... May.  It's been a long haul and I'm not really back to myself even now.   But not making art is equally depressing so I'm trying to make an effort here.

I still can't promise that my gallery will be updated with any frequency, but I'm working on it.

Don't expect to see any new art from me for a while. Consider this a placeholder journal.

Been a while.  As per usual. *chuckles*  I'm so slack.

So, I haven't had any new art recently.  This is due to a rather exciting change: I moved in March, and things have been understandably hectic.  I haven't been able to draw much at all.  In fact the only drawings I have done are in preparation for a mural.
In the meantime, I don't have my scanner at the moment since it had to stay at my old house; for a while at least.  I was hoping the old one could be repaired so I could use one or the other, but it looks like it might be permanently dead after all.  Boo.
So, no new art for a while.
I also really need to figure something out for my sculpture stuff.  Right now most of my supplies are not even at my new home.  I don't have anywhere to put any of it.  And much of the art supplies I do have here are not that accessible.  This simply will not do.

Anyway, that's the big news these days; I've got a flat of my own (with my best friend, or 'heterosexual life mate', to quote Jay and Silent Bob).

That and I finally went and bought my laptop, and named it Ocelot.  It fills me with glee!

But the biggest change in my life these days is that I have a partner.  :3  I honestly never thought I'd be able to say that.
I'm happy.

mmm, neglected journal.

Nothing really to report here, art wise.  I do have a couple trades that I seem to recall agreeing to do and therefore am hoping to get done, but have not even started yet.  Blacky? Ladyroll?  Let me know if I'm missing someone here.

Work is going great, for the most part.  Flat hunting could be great in a day or two, or it might go back to being incredibly frustrating.  We'll see.

I'm also really really really wanting to buy a laptop.  I shall have to get a new computer soon enough regardless, so I might as well laptop it up.

And now for the mysteriousness: a fish named Bartholomew. :3
Apparently I have one.

Just a heads up, I shall be away for the holidays, briefly.  Going to see my dad's family in 'Stoon.  :)
(Yeah, that's slang for Saskatoon, for those of you unfamiliar with the Canadian prairies... all of you likely. ;) )

Also, big thanks to Malley and Spirit for renewing my subscription. :D  You are both full of win.

Yule drawings will be late, I'm afraid, but I'll try my best to get everything done before the new year.

Wow, I had forgotten how different the site looks when you aren't a subscriber.
Also, I can't believe a year went by that quickly.
Thanks again to the random person who got me that subscription; 'twas much appreciated.
The only thing that makes me sad is to not have my Niabol stamp here anymore.  So all you Bill fans who can do so must now show off your stamp with pride, you hear? ;)

Yule approaches.  I really must get on the whole shopping and present making thing.  I'm more behind than usual this year.
Just slogging along as always.
Might have a drawing or two soonish.  Nothing special.

Man, I really don't update this thing often, do I?

Today is Remembrance Day.  For me this day always reminds me of my grandfather.
In a way we shouldn't really need a day set aside for remembering the people that we love, or the people that may have lost their lives for us.  That's something that we should just always have somewhere in our hearts.
But it's nice to have such recognition.

Anyway.  My new job is going pretty well.  I get to be surrounded by animals, which is fantastic.  It's really hard not to fall in love with every creature that comes through the doors though.
Dogs, cats, degus, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, budgies, rabbits; all needing homes.  The new Shelter is fantastic though, and I think I'll be happy to work there for a long time.

As for art, well, that's not going anywhere lately.  I haven't been doing much of anything.  I thought about making a ref' sheet for my wolf 'self', since there's some minor changes these days.  Or maybe one for Domhnal.  And I really should be working on my werewolf, but that's kind of on hold for a bit regardless.

Hopefully all is well with those of you who stumble across my semi-monthly ramblings.

I have some fantabulous news.  Or at least I think it's fantabulous. :)  Malley :iconbotchiball: is officially even cooler than he was before.  He is one of the most supportive people I know in this community, in terms of commenting on, commissioning, and just plain appreciating artwork from many artists here on dA.
And it's thanks to him that I don't need to worry about my dead scanner anymore.  So anyone who likes to look at my scribblings should be thanking him. ;)

My last art trade is up at last, and hopefully I'll be able to work on some other stuff now too.

Malley, seriously, I can't thank you enough.

Well, my scanner is dead as near as I can tell.
I'm currently an emotional mess, and no, not because of the stupid scanner.  No I don't want to talk about it.

I still need to take a photo of that one outstanding trade, and maybe a random duck that I drew (poster size) while I was in Iceland as well.  But other than that, don't expect to see any new art from me for some time now.
That's all I guess.

Hell must have frozen over, for I have finally uploaded some of my Ireland photos from 2005 (*facepalms*), but that was because I was already on a photo uploading spree with my Iceland photos.  There shall be much rejoicing now.
By me.
*laughs*  Anyway, the Iceland photos are up, and so are the long overdue Ireland ones.  Please note that this is only a selection of the photos from either trip.  I have hundreds more.
I might even get to the Colorado pictures at some point in the near future.

Unfortunately, my scanner is still not working, (incidentally my printer is also now dead) so no new drawings for a while.  Including that trade that I am doing.  Sorry about that, DarkDelusion... it's done, but I can't scan it just yet.  If I am unable to fix the scanner soon I'll have to try taking a digital photo I guess.

But on the upside, this no scanner fiasco lead me to finally get some photographs into my gallery.

Hmm, my scanner seems to be uncooperative.  Not that I've had much to scan lately, but I do have a trade I would like to get finished and scanned soon.  I think it might even be finished actually.
I really hope that the damn thing's not permanently busted.  That would make me very very unhappy.

Not much going on with me really.  I'm working a mind numbing repetitive job, and not doing much else since I started.
My plots to work on art seem to be foiled often.
I managed some bad sketches that I wouldn't even bother to scan if the bloody thing was working.  It seemed like I was just going through the motions of drawing something because I felt like I wanted to draw and grabbed whatever spare time I had, but my heart sure wasn't in it.  Or at least nothing worthwhile came out of it.

In other news, I purchased Hot Fuzz and am pleased with my buy.
In other other news... no, nevermind.  Not even worth talking about.

I'm back from Iceland. :)
I can't even begin to describe what an amazing place it is.  Particularly in the West Fjords; I've never been anywhere quite like it.
Anyway, eventually I might have some photos.  But considering that I still haven't worked on the Ireland photos, I wouldn't hold my breath.  I'm so damn bad about that.

Please bear with me as I try to catch up on being away from the comp for the last month, more or less.

I am so addicted to Spaced.  I think it is my favourite TV show ever.

Okay, random admission over, it's now time for the actual journal entry.  The last entry before I head on a plane in a few days time and find myself in another country once again.
So the usual (*laughs* "usual" meaning just like the ONE other time in my entire life that I went overseas) applies; if I am unable to reply or make comments on artwork, it is because I am somewhere in Iceland for the next month. :)  So forgive me if I disappear entirely until the end of June.  I'm not sure if I'll have the chance to get to a computer or not while I'm there.
With any luck I'll be riding an Icelandic pony. ;)

I'll be back at the end of June.

Quick journal entry here, since I was being terribly mysterious last time I wrote in this thing, and then I kind of forgot about it.  So here's the deal:
Surgeries are done until September, when I'll have at least two more.  Still all minor.

And as for travel, I'm going to be in Iceland for almost the entire month of June.  :)  It's through my University, and technically I'm taking courses while I'm there.  But I don't actually need the credits; I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to Iceland.  :3
So that's that.  I expect I'll have one last journal entry here just before I leave.
In the meantime, I've got a trade with Wolfdog coming up, and various other random things I hope to draw but might not get to until after I return from my trip.
We shall see.
